Whilst based at Lego's new product development centre in Denmark, I was part of a small team creating new products for the Duplo brand. The Duplo Black Castle is a simply enormous castle-themed playset, allowing kids to build a huge castle for knights to do battle in, or a tower fortress taller than they are! As part of the development, I created a new knight character for the set from a range of early sketch concepts, as well as artwork for new printed Lego elements. Other work included prototype building, writing test plans and facilitating consumer tests in focus group environments.
Lego Duplo Black Castle was launched in 2006.
